►The only complaints about the hotels was that the Apex Waterloo Place Hotel in Edinburgh did not have any facilities to purchase drinks off hours. No vending machines, no water in the lobby and with no 24 hour stores in the area made us remain dehydrated until nearby stores opened. We learned the hard way the first night to stop to get drinks for the room before retiring for the night. This was a big inconvenience since we were out and about on tours that didn't end until late. We have travelled extensively and there was not a single hotel that didn't have the ability to buy beverages from either an in house convenience area or their own bar (whether open or closed) via reception. For a high end hotel we would've expectedc more.

►The Tigerliily hotel in Edinburgh was the only miss we chose on the trip. 4 star hotel with 1 star service. Not very welcoming and felt more like a nightclub with rooms.

►Edinburgh experience was tremendous. The hotel is awesome and right on the royal mile and so close to everything that we did. The airport transfers were also very smooth and the drivers were early.
For Dublin, the hotel was good enough, but more like a Hampton Inn than 4 or 5-star hotel. While, the location was good, I think the hotel could have been better. Both of the transfers were late. The pick up at the airport was 15 minutes late. The pick at the hotel to get to the airport was also 15 minutes late and we called several times because we didn't get any contact information.
