The Cyclades Islands are the most famous island group in the Aegean Sea that comprise some of the most stunning islands in the world.

Only a short distance from Turkey`s Turquoise Coast in the southeastern Aegean, the Dodecanese chain of islands lies in what is called the sunniest corner of Greece.

The Ionian Islands is a cluster of six isles that are linked in a chain down the west coast of Greece. It is not only stunningly scenic but also has a character of its own that is set apart from other Greek islands.

The cradle of European Civilization, Crete is the largest island in Greece, and the fifth largest in the Mediterranean Sea with remnants of brilliant civilizations, rugged mountains, endless beaches and turquoise seas, charming towns and villages, and stunning countryside.

The Saronic islands, which include Hydra and Aegina, are the islands closest to Athens in Greece. This group of islands is a small, relatively sheltered gulf between Attica and the Peloponnese. You could describe them as “the islands off Athens”.

Some of the most magical and exotic places are hidden on the mainland where you can enjoy the raw natural beauty, admire ancient ruins with buzzing contemporary life and try some delicious traditional Greek food.

Not only does the Mediterranean have beautiful resorts and beaches on the mainland, there are literally thousands of islands to explore, each with their own beauty, over 2,500 miles from Spain east to Turkey. The cultural and culinary experiences of each Mediterranean country are unique and delightful.

Experiences & Adventure

Food is a huge part of Greek culture. The cuisine offers an incredibly rich and diverse array of foods and beverages that are the culmination of thousands of years of living, cooking, and eating. It’s all about the fresh ingredients, the lengthy procedure involved in preparing the food, and the culture of sharing dishes with others.

Europe contains some of the most fascinating, historic UNESCO World Heritage sites in the world - There are over 400 sites in Europe alone, and at least one can be found in every country. These highly significant cultural and natural sites include landmarks, monuments, national parks, towns, castles, palaces, and architectural wonders spread throughout Europe.

Out of the 700 wineries in Greece, only a few can produce enough to export, so many excellent wines come from small-producers and go undiscovered outside of Greece. The country is a bit of a mystery to many wine drinkers, who may be limited by their knowledge of the region, grape varieties, or simply the pronunciation. However, one visit to Greece, sipping dry white wine of Santorini Island, sampling rosé on a Peloponnese road trip, indulging in sparkling wines in the mountainous north, or discovering the reds of Crete: there is something for every taste.

Many people associate Greece travel with island-hopping by ferry, but taking an iconic Greek road trip is a great way to get off the beaten track and experience this enchanting country. Not only will it give you more flexibility with your itinerary, it will allow you to visit small villages, remote archeological sites, and vineyards and tavernas - there's so much more to Greece than its beaches. So jump in the car and hit the road on the mainland in Greece for a fantastic adventure!

Greece is a country where historic ruins, volcanic cliffs, and friendly locals meet the blue Mediterranean Sea. It`s the whole package spread out amongst thousands of gorgeous islands. Discover the historical heritage on a major European capital in Athens before taking in the whitewashed villages of the islands where you`ll find ample opportunities to enjoy swimming, eating and gazing at the deep-blue Aegean.

WHY SANTORINI?

Santorini is an island that has it all - mesmerizing sunsets to share with family or friends, volcanoes rising out of the blue Aegean Sea for couples, cave house accommodations, amazing Greek variety of food, some quaint villages, gorgeous beaches and of course those stereotypical (but equally as beautiful) blue-domed churches amidst whitewashed stone buildings. No island better epitomized the Greek vacation experience than Santorini. Believe it or not, these west facing settlements like Oia, Fira and Imerovigli enjoy front-row views of one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets and in summer their tavernas fill up long before the sun slips behind Nea Kameni and Therasia in the caldera.
