►1) Boutique Hotel Porto - excellent! I can rate them 10/10. Place is nice. Rooms are big and clean. Staff are really nice especially the staff that are working in their restaurants. I could recommend this hotel to anyone without getting any bad feedback. Quality of service and quality of food that they serve every morning is excellent. They are just awesome! Location is also very close to the bus stop. Because of this, we get to rest and get a good night sleep after a long day of walking and touring. Keep using them for your customers. 2) Garden Hotel - Really bad! My couple friend that travelled with us didn't sleep at their first night because their room is infested with bugs. Since they found out late at night, they waited until the morning to complain about it. They were moved to a different room. My room however...bathroom is so small. Sink is so little (for kids). The worst of all, our rooms (including 2 of my sister in laws) are facing the the street across a tram station. It was loud! We are restless the whole time . We can only sleep maybe for 2-3 hours a day. On top of that noise, it's hot. We tried to turn on the AC but wasn't working. We asked the receptionist how we can control the temperature but they gave us excuses that they cannot turn on the AC. We have to open the windows and endure the loud noise from outside. (it's already so loud with the windows closed). Also, when we check in, the lady receptionist in the front desk was a bit rude. I have to bit my tongue not say anything because she is really rude. She should not stay in the front desk. I cannot recommend this hotel to any of my family and friends and will never again use this hotel. I rate them 1/10. 3)Flight from San Diego to Croatia - no problem incurred 4) Flight from Croatia to San Diego - Flight was delayed that caused us to missed our connecting flight. The staff at the gate told us to go to Lufthansa Service Area and we did. We were told to go to Croatia Airlines check encounter and rebook our flight from there since they were the ones who caused us to missed our flight. When we went to the area where we were told to go, there's no Croatia Airlines open counter. One of our friend that traveled with us have to find out the customer service # for Croatia airlines and from there, we got rebooked. Instead of the original flight of Frankfurt to Vancouver, Vancouver to San Diego (our final destination), our new flight is from Frankfurt to Montreal then Montreal to San Diego. What's worst is that we paid our seats for the original flight, our new flight? we were not seated to each other but we have no choice but to take the flight. As we were in Montreal, our flight from Montreal to San Diego was delayed again for 2 hours. It was such an inconvenience and a long flight overall. For this mess, I think Croatia airlines should compensate us and maybe you (Tripmasters), as our agency can find a way for us to be compensated for the following travelers that traveled with us. ►The hotels were a hit and miss. One was outstanding in all respects but the other had Air conditioning not working and bugs in the room. Luckily we were able to transfer to another room but it was still hot and muggy. Airline transportation has always been a sore spot. The first flight on our way home was delayed causing us to miss the remaining 2 flights and we had to be rebooked. But the main issue that has always been a cause for problems everytime we take these trips is the very short layover in between flights, especially the international flights that involved going thru customs/passport control. A lot of our booked flights gave us only one hour layover which almost always would cause us to miss the following flight. I would suggest that Tripmasters review itineraries and try to schedule flights with longer layovers, at least 2 hours in between flights to mitigate problems with missed flights. We did not really book any activities thru Tripmasters but I would say that this trip to Croatia was an was outstanding. We really had a good time. By the way, when we were scrambling to get rebooked on our missed flights, I tried to call Tripmasters but the automated answer said it was closed. I was under the impression that customers are supported 24/7 while on travel.

►I was not completely satisfied with my Zagrab hotel, Hotel Jadran. It was a considerable step down from the Hotel Neptune. The view out of my window looked like a war zone. The room, particularly the carpet looked far more aged than the photos. Also, I was not able to arrange for transportation to stop in front of my hotel, as it was a busy street with nowhere to pull off the to stop. I had to go a couple of blocks away to get picked up and dropped off. I ended up moving to the Westin after two days. It was only about $50 more a night, but was a huge upgrade and had a better location and had more restaurant services (Jadran only had breakfast), the breakfast was a huge upgrade and the sight had far better amenities. If I travel to Europe again, I would insist that I had a longer layover in Franfurt. My layover was ~ 70 minutes. I missed my connecting flight to the US because my incoming flight was about 35-40 minutes late. Despite my best efforts of running through the concourse, I was not able to catch my Chicago flight and had to spend the night in Frankfort.
