The best areas of Northern Ireland are still its best kept secrets to the west and south; from its rugged coastline, to the idyllic lakes, and unspoiled mountain ranges. Continue to Enniskillen (a charming town where you will enjoy its delightful waterside setting, making it the ideal base to explore the charms of County Fermanagh and beyond, with many historic monuments and castles); then, enjoy the Omagh and the Sperrins area (with its bustling market centre on the footsteps of the famed Sperrin Mountains and Gortin Lakes; the region`s romantic landscapes, rich in history and heritage with rugged countryside, and great outdoors); and last, but not least, stay in Derry (the northernmost city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of a walled city in Europe). A rental car allows you to take your vacation into your own hands. This is a flexible vacation package. Select your number of nights in each city, desired hotel and activities.

Trip Summary
3 nights in Belfast

Dating back to the Middle Ages, the second-largest city on the Irish Isle, Belfast has a rich history. Some visitors may already know that one of the most iconic oceangoing liners, the Titanic, was built here in the world-famous Belfast Shipyard. The city is nestled beside the River Lagan and Belfast Lough, providing a lovely and privileged setting. Take a stroll and admire the mix of Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian architecture, dominated by the magnificently domed City Hall.

Visit Belfast City Hall, Grand Opera House, Ulster Museum, Botanic Gardens, Titanic Belfast, St. George's Market, Belfast Castle, Parliament Buildings, and much more.

2 nights in Mourne Mountains and Coast

The Mourne Mountains are the highest and most dramatic mountain range in Northern Ireland, whose summits are crowned by granite tors. But don't overlook the rugged coastal plains below, which are equally awe-inspiring! The mountains are crisscrossed by an unrivaled network of paths and tracks that descend to the sandy coast below, beloved by hikers! This area is recognized as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it certainly lives up to this title. The Mournes area has long inspired writers and storytellers.

Enjoy the High and Low Mournes, the Mourne Wall, Silent Valley, Annalong, Kilkeel, Newcastle, Warrenpoint, and so much more!

1 nights in Enniskillen (Lough Erne)

The town of Enniskillen lies on the short stretch of the river between the lakes. The lakeside is high and rocky in some parts and, in addition to the 154 islands, there are many coves and inlets. When windy, navigation on Lower Lough Erne, running for 26 miles almost to the Atlantic Ocean, can be something of a challenge with waves of open-sea dimensions. Lough Erne is a particularly scenic waterway, renowned for its beautiful setting. The area is popular for angling and watersports, with waterskiing, Rowing and wakeboarding being amongst the most popular.

Visit The Enniskillen Castle Museums, National Trust Castle Coole, Erne Water Taxi, Cole's Monument, The Inniskillings Museum, Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, and so much more!

2 nights in Omagh and the Sperrins

Omagh, the principal county town of County Tyrone is situated where the rivers Drumragh and Camowen meet to form the Strule. Just outside of Omagh is the Ulster-American Folk Park, one of the best open-air museums of its kind. The Sperrin Mountains are a range of mountains stretching from Strabane eastwards to Slieve Gallion and towards Limavady, popular with star-gazers because it is an official Dark Sky area.

Enjoy the Strule Arts Center, Ulster American Folk Park, Sperrins star watching Center, McKenna Gallery, The Abingdon Collection, Memorial Garden, Sawel Mountain, Gortin Glen Forest Park, and much more.

2 nights in Derry (Londonderry)

The old 6th-century walled city of Derry (sometimes alternately referred to as Londonderry), is a centre of culture and creativity. The walls dating from the 17th century are still complete and measure 1 mile in circumference and stand six meters thick. There are several interesting museums like the Tower Museum which tells the history of the city from prehistoric times until modern day. From here you can easily day trip to the Giants Causeway, a volcanic formation of thousands of hexagonal rocks, situated about an hour away.

Visit the Museum of Free Derry, Tower Museum, Peace Bridge, Derry Walls, Bloody Sunday Obelisk, and much more.

Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom, comprises the northeastern sixth of the island of Ireland. Torn apart during the 30 years of sectarian strife in the late 20th century, often called 'The Troubles,' this fascinating and beautiful part of the Emerald Isle has emerged to become one of the largest cultural and economic hubs in the British Isles. Belfast, its vibrant capital, is particularly popular. The historic city of Derry, the only walled city on the Irish island, was severely impacted by The Troubles; today it boasts flourishing intellectual and arts scenes.
