Start in Marrakech (one of the famed imperial cities in Morocco, and center of mosques, palaces and gardens), take a transfer to Merzouga (a small Moroccan town in the Sahara Desert, known as a gateway to Erg Chebbi, a huge expanse of sand dunes north of town) with a stop in Boumalne Dade. Finally take one last transfer to Ouarzazate (a city south of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, known as a gateway to the Sahara Desert) with a stop in Ait Benhaddou.
