►The trip itself was amazing, but i felt that tripmaster booking # 908229 i didn't feel book this trip apparently of cost effective. First of all My transfer ticket was booked incorrectly and not premium booking. My flight reservation was booked poorly and my returned flight was booked to an airport 2 hours away from my hotel costing me $300 USD to get to. I end up spending more money than nesscessy that should have been for seen or that i should've been aware of. My brother and his wife whom booked to mimic our trip had a straight flight to Miami from a local and much closer airport in London His booking # 908612. Why was this done?

►The initial transfer from the airport to the hotel went well and the driver was pleasant. In Paris, the hotel rooms were very small by American standards but were ok. The people at the hotel were helpful. The area where the hotel was at, was a bit too busy and touristy (and way too many sex shops). Somewhere a bit further off the beaten path would have been nicer. The breakfast at the hotel was expensive and underwhelming. The city tax was a very large, unexpected cost, even though I knew it was coming. It added a significant amount to our final total. I ended up hiring a car to take us to the train station that was convenient but ended up being very expensive. Conversely, when we got to London, we ended up dragging our luggage from the train station to the hotel, which wasn't very pleasant. The hotel in London was reasonable, but the room for my children did not have two beds, as I thought I had scheduled. They were nice and gave them extra bedding so they at least didn't have to share a comforter. The staff were all pleasant and it was clean. It was in a reasonable location, but the street was a bit noisier than I expected. This hotel is much fancier than I typically like to stay at, so I was uncomfortable with the level of service and associated extra gratuities. They added an automatic gratuity, which I ended up having to reduce, but then felt guilty about. We did have a bit of communication difficulty with our shuttle driver to the airport. He was running a little late and we couldn't ever get our phones to work without wi-fi. They sent us a message, but I didn't get it until after the driver arrived. He was only a little bit late and we still made it to the airport with plenty of time. The biggest challenge for us is that we don't have a lot of experience doing independent travel. Everything is so complicated these days with needing to get all the tickets for the activities before we left that the daily logistics were very stressful. When traveling, with family to foreign countries, I definitely prefer to go on guided tours.
