2 nights in Helsingor
Helsingor (also known by the name Elsinore) is world famous as the setting of William Shakespeare's Hamlet. The Rerum Danicarum Historica (1631) claims that the history of Helsingor can be traced back to 70 BC, but Helsingor as we know it today was founded in the 1420s by the Danish king Eric of Pomerania. The oldest parts of the cathedral of Helsingor date back to the 1200s and attests the importance of this fishermen's village in history. Overlooking the border of Sweden, Kronborg Castle is the main tourist attraction of the town. Its unique architecture and beautiful tapestries are unforgettable. Hamlet has been performed several times in its courtyard.
Visit Kronborg Slot, M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark, the Church of St. Mary, Holger Danske and so much more!

Warm-hearted, fun loving and free-spirited, Denmark is a traveler's delight. The smallest and most southern of the Scandinavian countries, Denmark offers an interesting mix of lively cities and rural countryside. Ancient castles, ring forts, jazz festivals, the sleekest modern design you'll ever see and the people who invented Lego. Denmark's ancient past almost tells its own story with its barrows, country manors, churches, well-preserved market towns and modern architecture. In Denmark you will find that the distances are short and this makes it possible to combine it all.
