Start in Marrakech (with its walled Medina and the worldwide open market: "Jemaa el-Fnaa"); and after that, visit Morocco’s gate to the Sahara Desert, Zagora (a great base from which to explore the surrounding palm groves and Kasbahs); and finally, Casablanca ( with the inspiring Hassan II Mosque and its Old Medina that stand out). Start in Marrakech (one of the famed imperial cities in Morocco, and center of mosques, palaces and gardens), take a transfer to Merzouga (a small Moroccan town in the Sahara Desert, known as a gateway to Erg Chebbi, a huge expanse of sand dunes north of town) with a stop in Boumalne Dade. Finally take one last transfer to Ouarzazate (a city south of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, known as a gateway to the Sahara Desert) with a stop in Ait Benhaddou.
