Situated close to Odense Fjord on the Odense River, the city of Odense is the third largest city in Denmark. The city is more than a thousand years old and various museums tell about the history of Odense and of Denmark. It lies within a short distance of beaches and has much to offer to its visitors. Saint Canute's Cathedral was formerly connected with the great Benedictine monastery of the same name, and is one of the largest and finest buildings of its kind in Denmark. It is constructed in a pure Gothic style. Odense is known as the city of birth of the world famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen. A visit to his museum is a must. Odense also boasts a large number and wide range of museums of international and regional interest, including everything from traditional Danish art at the Funen Art Museum to international art and photo exhibitions at Brandts Klaedefabrik.

Aarhus is the second largest city and the principal port of Denmark. The main attraction is Den Gamle By (The Old Town) - a fascinating open-air museum featuring 75 restored buildings from all around Denmark dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Architecturally impressive sights include the 13th century cathedral in the centre of the city - Arhus Domkirke - the tallest cathedral in Denmark.The Aarhus City Hall is a uniquely designed building drawn by renowned architect Arne Jacobsen, located in the city centre. The city hall is included in the national educational canon for culture as an example of important architectural work. Take a trip to the Tivoli Friheden, a fun-packed amusement park located just outside the city centre offering rides, clown shows, spectacular flower gardens and many cafés.

Founded by the Vikings, Aalborg has developed into one of the busiest trading centers in Denmark and its fourth-largest city. Its proximity to Limfjord makes it an attractive tourist destination. Called the "little Paris of the North," Aalborg has a great atmosphere and a lot of fine old buildings. The 15th century Budolfi Cathedral - dedicated to the English St. Botolph - and the Monastery of the Holy Ghost from 1431, Denmark's oldest social welfare institution, are two of the most impressive historic sights. The old castle Aalborghus Castle (Aalborghus Slot) built in 1550 and some picturesque houses of the 17th century located in the center of the town, are not to be missed. Nearby Aalborg, you can enjoy the white beaches of the North Sea, the forest of Rold, the lovely Rebild Hills or the slopes of the Jutlandic Ridge.

Founded in 1968, Legoland Billund is the original Legoland Park. All children who play with lego dream of visiting this park. It is split into themed areas which appeal to children in various age groups offering an experience full of creativity and fun. Every building, boat, train and car is constructed from millions of Lego blocks in detail, with incredible craftsmanship. There are models of famous landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and the Taj Mahal and a section called Miniland, which is accurately modeled on areas in other countries such as the Rhine in Germany and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The Dragon is their oldest coaster, and miniland is a symbol of the country. There are several rides, including a boat ride through pirate caves and train rides.

Located on the northeast coast of the Jutland peninsula, Frederikshavn is an important traffic portal with its ferry connections to Sweden and Norway. The port of Frederikshavn has a modern and efficient infrastructure, and logistically the users of the port and their customers profit from the easy access to the European motorway and railway networks. Frederikshavn's oldest building, Fiskerklyngen, dates back from the mid-1500s. In 2015, Frederikshavn will be the first medium-sized city in the world to be exclusively supplied with electricity, heat and power for transportation from renewable energy sources. The electricity will be supplied from wind turbines, heat from heat pumps, solar panels and biogas plants, while cars will be powered by electricity or biofuel.
