DUBLIN CONNOLLY TRAIN STATION

Connolly train station is the busiest train station in the Republic of Ireland. It opened in 1844 and was originally named Dublin Station, and later was called the Amiens Street Station. In 1966 it was named for James Connolly, one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising. The station was renovated and refurbished in the 1980s and 1990s. It primarily serves the north and east of the country and Northern Ireland, while Heuston station serves the south and the west.
