DUSSELDORF - HOTEL ZONES

Stadmitte

This area is chosen as home by those who like to be where all the action is. Home to the Hauptbahnhof (central station), this is one of the busiest areas of the city. But Stadmitte`s real attraction is Dusseldorf`s premium and luxury shopping street, Königsallee, while Schadowstraße, with its own rows of shops, offers a more affordable range of shopping. Stadtmitte is also the financial district of the city, with the WestLB (the central bank of North Rhine-Westphalia) and the stock exchange housed here. The best theater of Dusseldorf, Schauspielhaus, is also an extremely popular landmark.

Carlstadt

The neighborhood of Carlstadt, located south of the Old Town, is known for its charm with baroque facades and a chess-board-like street plan. This area is home to many antique and art traders, upscale jewelry stores, as well as many museums, galleries and other cultural institutions. Carlsplatz is also where you`ll find the city`s only permanent weekday market, featuring savory food, sweets, flowers as well as popular artworks.

Outskirts

Düsseldorf is the capital city of the German state of North Rhine-Westpahlia, situated in the north-west of the country. It covers the western part of the Ruhr Area, as well as the Niederrheinische Tiefebene, the lower Rhine area. The outskirts of Düsseldorf are ideal for those who want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city enjoying a quieter stay. Staying outside the city center also provides the convenience of traveling to nearby towns and villages around Düsseldorf. There is as much to see and do outside the city of Düsseldorf as within the city limits. Nature lovers are attracted to the peacefulness that`s offered just outside the city limits.
