BLOIS - HOTEL ZONES

City Center

Blois is situated between Tours and Orleans in the Loire Valley. It has a vibrant and well preserved town center with many interesting historical monuments to see. There is beautiful chateau that dominates the city center sitting on top of the town on the edge of a large square. The square in front of the castle was once part of the castle, and was surrounded by walls and contained stables, armories and religious buildings. Below the castle is a lively old town with narrow streets and ancient buildings. Blois was in its heyday as a royal town in the 16th-century and much of its architecture reflects this period though there are also buildings dating to the 12th century.

Staying in the city center will allow you to walk to most all of the main attractions. There are many restaurants and plenty of choices for accommodations right in the city center to choose from.

Outskirts

Blois is very well situated and makes an excellent base for visits to the châteaux, villages and towns of the central Loire Valley. It is particularly close to the Chateau de Cheverny and the majestic Chateau de Chambord. By staying on the outskirts of the city you will have easy access to explore other bordering towns in the Loire Valley.
