PERPIGNAN - HOTEL ZONES

City Center

The city center is charming with the river Basse that runs through it with beautifully planted gardens alongside the edge. To the south of the river there are narrow streets and open squares that are ideal for strolling. The medieval center is quite small and easy to walk. On the edge of the old center is the Palace of the Kings of Majorca, and there are several interesting medieval buildings around this central section.

The highlights in the city center are the Palace of the Kings of Majorca (one of the largest buildings in the city), the Campo Santo, which is an unusual cloister-cemetery, the Gothic St Jean Cathedral, Musee des Beaux-Arts Hyacinthe Rigaud, and the Hotel de Ville, amongst other attractions, restaurants, shops and streets to discover.

Outskirts

The outskirts are beautiful and are generally more residential. Staying in the outskirts of Perpignan will typically require transportation to the city center as you may not be near public transportation.
