Antibes

Cap d`Antibes peninsula can be found between Cannes and Nice. Antibes is a large commune city which includes Old Antibes, Juan les Pins, Golfe Juan, Sophia Antipolis, Port Vauban, and Cap d`Antibes. The three main areas in which visitors are most likely to spend their time are Old Antibes, Juan les Pins and Cap d`Antibes. Juan les Pins is on the north-west side of the Cap d`Antibes peninsula while Antibes is to the north-east.

Old Antibes

Old Antibes is in the heart of the city with narrow, winding cobblestone streets filled with boutiques, gourmet food shops, cafes, and restaurants. This area offers the most history, as well as beautiful seaside views, stone buildings, and elegant fountains. The medieval quarter here is always bustling on market days.

Juan les Pins

Juan les Pins is located on the north-west side of the Cap d`Antibes offering long sandy beaches with thousands of sun loungers and parasols. It is the place to be in the month of July during the Jazz a Juan, which is Europe`s oldest jazz festival. This part of Antibes is the place to be after the sun goes down, as it has the most exciting nightlife of the area boasting fashionable night clubs, casinos, wine bars, and even night shopping.

Cap d`Antibes

Cap d`Antibes, the southern neighborhood of Antibes, offers a 4 mile long peninsula with luxurious estates perched high above the water and shaded by thick, tall pines. Since the 19th-century this location has drawn aristocrats, artists, literati, and merely fabulously wealthy on this small piece of paradise. One of the focal points in this area today is the famous Hotel Eden Roc, which is usually roaming with stars during the Cannes Film Festival. This hotel is reputed to be the most beautiful hotel in the world. Cap d`Antibes is also noted for having the most famous beach, La Garoupe.
