Regional Trains: The regional train lines, Trains Express Regionaux (TER), are operated by the French state-run monopoly SNCF. These express trains allows for rapid connections between the major coastal cities on the Cote d`Azur from Cannes to Ventimiglia, the first town over the Italian border. Trains are available every 30 minutes at certain times of the day and most of the stations are within walking distance of the town center, or offer a bus service from the station.Tickets can be purchased from machines at each station, just make sure to validate the ticket onboard. If the tickets are not validated they are not valid and you will need to pay a fine. Prices on local trains are flat and vary according to the distance.

Gare d`Antibes train station is centrally located in Antibes town. The train services, TER or SNCF runs frequent services. The views of the coastline are beautiful. It is important to note the strikes can be frequent.

TER trains are generally faster than buses and stop at most French Rivier resort towns including Mandelieu, Cannes, Antibes, Nice-Saint Augustin, Nice-Ville, Villefranche-sur, Monaco, Menton, and Ventimiglia. Intercity and TGV trains depart only from Nice Ville. Important bus and tram lines always start at, or pass near, the train station in cities and towns with municipal bus and tram systems.

From June to September, the guided voyage on the Trains des Merveilles, costs about €15 round-trip. The journey runs from Nice to Tende in the Valley of the Marvels, with stops in perched villages. The train climbs more than 3,000 feet high on the trip through the Mercantour National park and takes about two-hours.

By Bus

Envibus is the bus network in Juan les Pins, for specific public transport requests and schedules: www.envibus.fr. Individual tickets costs around €1 and allows you to travel on two successive forms of public transport across the network of regional buses and is valid for up to 3 hours. The bus line has about 31 bus routes in the Antibes area and with other lines connecting with the surrounding towns and villages it is easy to travel even further into Provence.

The public bus line, Linge d`Azur (www.lignesdazur.com) is the intercity bus line in the area. Tickets for this bus are about €1.50. The ticket permits you to take two transport networks in succession, to complete a journey, including one change between one of the lines on the Departmental Council`s TAM network and a line on one for the following networks: Evibus (Antibes and surrounding area), Comunaute del la Riviera Francaise (Menton and surrounding area), Sillages (Brasse and surrounding area), Bus Varmer (Carros and surrounding area), Linged`Azur (Nice and surrounding area), Bus Azur (Cannes and surrounding area). All-day passes are available for about €4.

By Taxi

The main taxi service is operated by AlloTaxi Antibes (www.taxiantibes.com, Tel. 04 93 67 67 67). They are located at five points in the area: Gare SNCF d`Antibes, Plade de Gaulle/Boulevard Albert (downtown Antibes), Gare SNCF Juan-les-Pins, Pinède deJuan-les-pins and on the corner of avenue Guy de Maupassant / boulevard Edouard Baudoin. Taxi drivers are typically bilingual (French and English).

Uber is available in Juan les Pins and the Riviera and a welcome alternative to taxis offering are liable ride at less expensive rates.

By Car

It is not recommended to drive in the city due to the fact that Juan les Pins is compact and getting around by foot is less challenging. If you do decide to rent a car we suggest you pick it up as you depart the city to avoid excessive rental/parking expenses.

Public road parking is available throughout the city; the first hour is free for all motorists. This free hour is only issued once a day per vehicle. Parking on the road is free between 12 pm to 2 pm and in the evening from 6 pm until 9 am. It is also free on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. By Boat

Boat travel on the Cote d`Azur is a beautiful way to get around while enjoying the scenery from the water. There are shuttle boats that operate April through October with Les Bateaux Verts, trips between Saint Tropez and Saint Maxine coast about €13.50 and take around 15 minutes. Another shuttle services, Trans Cote d`Azur (www.trans-cote-azur.com)departs from Nice and Cannes and goes to Co rniche de l`Esterel and SaintTropez. Some of these routes are only offered from May to early October.

By Walking

Juan les Pins is easy to get around by walking and arguably the best way to explore because the city is rather small and there are many alleyways and narrow streets. In addition, the chance of identifying and enjoying some of the less renowned objectives of Juan les Pins is better if you choose this means of getting around.
