⚠ Announcement

►This was my first Trip Masters trip and it was pretty easy to setup. However, I felt like we got a bit marooned after purchase. 1) I had a $300+ flight credit from United that I was unable to apply to the trip. This feels like a miss on the customer service side. 2) On the way there, our train connection was less than 3 minutes. Which meant an all-out sprint to get on the train to Zermatt. We made it, but many others on the same train as us did not. 3) On the way home, we only had about 1.5hrs to get through customs and make our connecting flight. That was never going to be possible. We had to do customs, recheck bags, and then get through security again. So we missed our flight out of Newark and had to get a much later flight to a nearby city and have a very loyal friend pick us up and drive us the 1hr home. I feel as thought Trip Masters should have offered a longer gap there instead. 1.5hrs is impossible to achieve. I would like to try and use Trip Masters again, but after this experience I'm not sure I will. It saved us a good deal of money vs. booking separately, but the resulting delays and frustrations were not worth saving $250 each. If there were a coupon or incentive to try Trip Masters again, I would use it.

►Everything was great. Flights were great, good times for flying and connecting. Hotels were nice, especially in Zermatt. Trains were easy to figure out with a little research. Website was very easy to use and book trip. So much research about hotels could be done on your site. Very happy, will use again!

►All the hotels that we stayed at in Zurich, Zermatt and Lucerne were wonderful:-) We enjoyed the train rides between cities:-) Skiing in Zermatt was absolutely incredible!

►We booked flights from DFW-LHR, LHR-FCO, ZRH-LHR, and LHR-DFW. All flights ran on-time and were great!
We also booked 3 hotels:
1. The Windrose in Rome was a nice hotel. Room was a little small, but we enjoyed our stay there.
2. The Best Western Plus Resort in Zermatt was excellent. A truly great hotel!
3. The Bristol Hotel in Zurich was also great!

We also booked train travel from Zermatt to Zurich and it all worked with no problems. We had assigned seats from Visp to Zurich which apparently we paid extra for, but not from Zermatt to Visp. I don't remember booking specific seats. I got the impression that booked seats really don't matter on Swiss trains as everyone just sits wherever they want and if there are no seats available on a particular train, you just wait for the next one. It was a little confusing to have booked seats on one train, but not on another. Could have saved $48.
