With a stay at Hotel Excalibur in Saumur, visitors will be just steps from Loire Valley and Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park. This hotel is less than a mile from Maison de Vin and 1.3 miles from Cavalry Museum. Overlooking the Loire river, travelers will find the Chateau de Saumur, a medieval castle with a museum displaying archaeological finds, ceramics and tapestries. Do not miss visiting the Chateau de Breze; a castle with a subterranean fortress, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Caves Ackerman; here you will find wine, art, vineyards and you will be able to do some wine tasting. The hotel is about 7 minutes walking from the train station and about an hour and a half drive from Poitiers Airport. Use of rental car recommended.
