Small in size but rich in offerings, this Somerset town, Glastonbury, is a center of New Age culture, rumoured to be the final resting place of King Arthur and most famously, home to the legendary Glastonbury festival. Glastonbury is thought to have been a site for pre-Christian worship, perhaps because of its location by the Tor, the highest of the hills surrounding Glastonbury and a superb natural viewpoint. Glastonbury is best known for its Tor and Abbey. Visitors come to see the colorful quirky little town at the heart of Somerset, shop for incense and crystals, and try some of the local vegan eateries. This city is one of the most visited small towns on the Levels, but it is also recommended for anyone interested in history and legends about England`s ancient past.
