City Center

Located in the northeast of France, Nancy is situated on historic terrestrial and river routes. The city center is easy to cover on foot and offers stunning architecture, Art Nouveau buildings, restaurants and shopfronts scattered throughout. The heart of the Nancy is defined by three adjacent urban squares. The Triumphal Arch defines the passage of the new town and the old town.

One of the most impressive plazas, the historic UNESCO site of Place Stanislas, is the most central of Nancy`s three big squares, which include Place de la la Carrière and Place d`Alliance. In the pedestrianized center of these squares you will enjoy the abundance of space, and cafes and restaurant with outside tables, offering great place to sit and watch the people go by. The stunning structures that surround this area include the Nancy City Hall, the Opera-Theatre and the Grand Hotel. Nearby institutions include the Museum Aquarium de Nancy, the Notre Dame de l`Annociation and the Parc de Pepiniere.
