DIJON - HOTEL ZONES

City Center

Dijon is a cosmopolitan city, with universities in the center and many well-preserved buildings from the Ducal period. Especially noteworthy are the elegant mansions of the Dukes of Burgundy and other distinguished owners that you`ll find sprawled around this area. Traffic is restricted in the center of the city; so many parts of central Dijon are quiet and relaxing. In the heart of the city you will find numerous cafes and restaurants, a large variety of shopping, the fantastic Les Halles covered market, as well as the main attractions of the city. Staying in the city center allows the convenience of reaching every corner of the city with the efficient public transport system, or by just walking alone.

Outskirts

There are many great areas just on the outskirts of the city center such as Port du Canal, an idyllic spot with a number of amenities, the Toison d`Or, a new neighborhood on the back of the modern shopping complex of the same name, and Victor Hugo, an upscale resident district, just to name a few. Most of these areas are accessible by Tram, some even walking distance, and often offers a less expensive alternative than staying directly in the city center.
