City Center

The town has two sections: the international portion by the river, consisting of the spiritual area containing the Grotto and churches (known as the Domaine or the Sanctuaries), and the `French portion`, centered around the Marketplace and Hotel de Ville (Town Hall).

Lourdes` main attraction is the sanctuary (considered the city center), and this area is hedged in on all sides by lodging options in all price brackets. Just about a 15 to 20 minute walk is the hotels near the Gave de Pau river banks. This area is very tranquil and offers a beautiful setting to stay during your time in Lourdes.

Train Station

The area around the train station offers plenty of Lourdes’ hotels, making it possible to reduce your time lugging suitcases to an absolute minimum. This area is very useful if you have a lot of suitcases. Once you`ve settled into your room and are ready to walk the main sights, it will take you only about 15 minutes to get to the sanctuary.
