ARLES - HOTEL ZONES

Old Town

The Old Town is a beautiful area with winding streets full of old houses built in gray limestone with pastel-colored shutters. Here, you`ll find a large number of interesting sights, many of which come from the Roman era. It is a fabulous area to stroll around with nice little restaurants and shops scattered throughout. The main tourist sites here are around the amphitheater and the Place du Forum.

La Roquette

The old neighborhood of La Roquette (west of town center) dates back to the Middle Ages and today remains one of the most attractive parts of town. The area is located between the Rhone, the boulevard Clemenceau and the street Gambetta. The layout features attractive narrow and sometimes raised houses. This is a beautiful area to stroll around and admire the architectural decorations and the niches which adorn the street corners. It`s a very quiet and quaint neighborhood with very little tourists.
