Day 1 on the Eastern French Riviera

Welcome to the French Riviera! Once you arrive at your hotel, checkin and do not give in to jet lag! There is so much for you to see and do.

Begin the afternoon by getting acquainted with Theoule-sur-Mer. Theoule is a small town that offers several beautiful ports with a dramatic rocky coastline. Once here, enjoy a lunch in one of the cafes on the harbor then make time to check out the gardens and beach.

On your way out of town, follow the Corniche d`Or, a road that runs along the red coastline below the Esterel massif and is famous for being one of the most attractive stretches of road in France, passing stunning landscapes with the turquoise sea on one side and the red cliffs on the other.

As night approaches make your way to Cannes. Head to La Croisette, the famous boulevard lined with posh boutiques on one side and white sandy beaches on the other. Stick around for a glitzy dinner or try your luck at one of the three casinos the city has to offer.

Day 2 on the Eastern French Riviera

Start the day off early in the lovely town of Juan-les-Pins and the Antibes. You can enjoy the Promenade du Soleil, a boat trip to the Lerins Island, and the Jardin Thuret. Of course, there are also the sandy beaches to enjoy some relaxation. The beach scene on Antibes is legendary and renowned for their pristine nature and sandy shores.

As night approaches make your way to the scenic seaside city of Nice with an optional pit stop in Cagnes-sur-Mer, an old fishing village surrounded by beautiful hills. While in Nice enjoy some time at the most famous street, the Promenade des Anglais, that runs along the pebbly shore of Nice`s beach. It`s a great place to stroll for sightseeing as you take in the sunset on the Mediterranean. There are also many excellent restaurant choices in the area.

Day 3 on the Eastern French Riviera

Spend your last day exploring the medieval fishing village of Villefreanche sur Mer positioned within a magnificent deep water bay, the lush peninsula of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat with beautiful Belle Epoque resort of Beauliu sur Mer with the Greek-style Villa Kerylos.

Enjoy the last part of your day in beautiful Menton, a town that has welcomed old world nobility since the 19th-century. Spend some time in the baroque Old Town with its colorful houses and the laid back atmosphere. The town offers exceptional gardens and a tasty Italian cuisine due to its position on the Franco-Italian border.

Alternatively, spend the last part of your day in Cap-d`Ail. When you arrive take the road that overlooks the coast until you reach the Tete de Chien viewing point from where you will have magnificent panoramic views of Italy and the Var coastline. This town offers several scenic trails between the sea and the mountains.

Additional Days on the Eastern French Riviera

Should you be able to spend additional days on the French Riviera take a day trip to the wine vineyards for a tour and tasting. A wine tour is a great way to learn about the famous wines of the area, with expert tasting tips.

Alternatively, end your last day in the Medieval hilltop town of Eze. This picture perfect village sits on the mountains while overlooking the coast. The charming stone streets have beautiful galleries, boutiques, and artisans` shops. Also, make sure to take the time to tour a perfumery.

Your Last Day on the Eastern French Riviera

Depart your hotel for the airport for your return home.
