ST TROPEZ - HOTEL ZONES

Vieux Port (Old Port)

Vieux Port (Old Port) is the heart of Saint Tropez, lined with Mediterranean houses and lively cafes with outdoor terraces. The harbor offers a scene of small fishing boats and beautiful yachts. The Place aux Herbes, is an appeal near the harbor, the ancient market square that fills the atmosphere of the area each morning with colorful fruit, vegetable, and flower stalls. Also nearby is the Halle aux Poissons, the daily fish market that takes place early morning offering the freshest fish in the Provence.

LePonche (Old Town)

The Old Town, known as `La Ponche` borders the Vieux Port harbor basin and sits below the citadel. La Ponche is the historical hub offering the most picturesque area of Saint Tropez. The area is partly laid out with pedestrian only quaint cobblestone lanes with an abundance of small shops, upscale boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Here you will find the 18th-century Eglise de Notre-Dame de l`Assomption with its beautiful Baroque bell tower.

Gassin

Gassin is situated in the middle of the St Tropez peninsula, perched high up on a rock and less than 2.5 miles from the sea. The village has kept its old winding streets and ancient houses. Its location is really rather special overlooking vineyards, woods and the gulf of St Tropez!

On the coast the Port Gassin is growing and following other ports of the same kind such as Port Grimaud and the marina of Cogolin.
