Day 1 in Phuket

Welcome to Phuket! Upon arrival at the airport, you will go through customs and immigration. Should you opt to purchase a transfer to your hotel; a representative will be waiting for you as you exit immigration. Arrive at your hotel, check in and do not give in to jet lag! There is so much for you to see and do!

We recommend you get acquainted with the city by taking a taxi or tuk-tuk to the charming area of Old Town Phuket. You can stroll down quaint narrow streets in this historically rich part of town featuring great shops, eclectic restaurants, and cafes. You will also find shrines, Buddha temples, and museums to explore.

From here head south to Panwa beach about 5 miles from Phuket (15-minute drive by taxi) the area covers the west coast of Cape Panwa and is decorated with luxury villas, resorts, and a few restaurants. A quiet scenic area with views ofChalong Bay and the Lone Island, enjoy a refreshment at the `Beach Bar` located here or rent a long tail boat and explore the tranquil turquoise waters.

Head back to Phuket Town where you will find some of the best restaurants on the island, offering delicious Thai cuisine. In Phuket, you can find a choice of lively and fun entertainment experiences such as Siam Niramit a huge stage show featuring over 100 performers, Aphrodite is a ladyboy cabaret show or Simon Star the little sister to the popular Simon Cabaret in Patong a fun, colorful and lively ladyboy cabaret show. Retire to your hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 2 in Phuket

Get an early start today, grab some coffee and breakfast then head over to Wat Chalong, the most important of 29 Buddhist temples located in Phuket, witness Poh Than Jao Wat, one of the most important Buddhist statues in Wat Chalong, and The Grand Pagoda. Take a 5-minute ride over to the Big Buddha, a 150 ft tall honored landmark on top of the Nakkerd Hills, with spectacular 360-degree views of the island. Nakkerd Sea View is a restaurant located near the Big Buddha where you can stop and grab some refreshments, and rest after visiting the sites.

Take a 15-minute ride west to the beautiful bay of Kata, this breathtaking palm-lined, white sand beach with clear blue warm waters is a scenic gem. The area is an all around family friendly favorite with great restaurants, an abundance of shops and good nightlife. You could finish up your evening here or head further south to Phromthep Cape one of the best-known viewing spots where you can witness the most spectacular sunset from the southernmost hill on the island. Phromthep Cape is a large open air restaurant close by, with stunning views to end your day.

Day 3 in Phuket

Today take a day trip to Phang Nga Bay, located about an hour north by boat from Phuket`s Bang Rong Pier. Glide through the emerald waters of this epic bay, passing by hundreds of the characteristic sheer limestone karsts that jut vertically out of the water! Make a stop at the famous James Bond Island, with beautiful secluded lagoons, explore the hidden caves by sea kayak or visit the quiet beaches. Most tours will stop by the remarkable Koh Panyee village, a small Muslim fishing village built on stilts over the water with huts, shacks, restaurants and souvenir shops.

On your last evening in Phuket, head over to Patong and check out the nightlife on Bangla Road, this cosmopolitan town offers an array of dining options. The bustling town comes alive once the sun has set; the street is closed to vehicle traffic and jammed with shops, beer bars, go-go bars, pubs, discos, and entertainment venues.

Additional Days in Phuket

If you are able to spend additional days in Phuket, be sure to check out some of the other beautiful beach destinations, such as Surin, Kamala, Patong, Karon and Kata Noi, where you can sunbathe, snorkel, kayak, and scuba dive. Or take a trip to the breathtaking Phi Phi Islands, where Maya Bay is located, and became world famous after it was the set for the 2000 movie `The Beach`, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. These popular beach destinations offer dozens of water sports and activities for the whole family.

Phuket is rated amongst the top 10 diving destinations in the world, whether you are already certified or looking to learn, this is a spectacular place to visit. Many day trips filled with diving are offered from Phuket, check out the fascinating King Cruiser wreck in the Phi Phi Islands or Shark Point and for world-class divers take a dive cruise to the Surin or similan Islands located in the Andaman Sea.

If you are avid golfer be sure to check out one of the six spectacular golf courses that the island has to offer. Some of these courses have been used for international competitions and world championships.

If one of your extra days is a Sunday afternoon check out the Phuket Walking Street Market held every Sunday from 4 pm - 10 pm. Situated on Thalang Road in the historical Sino-Portuguese district of Phuket Town, the market features two main items, food, and souvenirs.

Your Last Day in Phuket

Depart from your hotel to the airport for your return flight home. We recommend that you purchase a private transfer to the airport, if so the representative will meet you at your hotel with plenty of time to get you to the airport for your flight out.
