Midleton distillery is where most of the world-famous brands of Irish whiskey are currently produced - Jameson, Powers and Paddy, as well as others. Set on 15 acres and beautifully restored, this is where the true heart of Irish whiskey beats. The old distillery is a unique experience with some of the buildings dating back to 1795. Take a journey through history and see the old kilns, mills and malting, water wheel and old warehouses. The Jameson Experience in Midleton is one of the top attractions in Cork.

Whiskey Tour Information

Expert guides will lead you through the extraordinary story of Jameson Irish Whiskey. A short film sets the scene before the tour guides walk you through the old distillery. Guided tours last one hour and end with a complimentary glass of Jameson Whiskey and a chance to take part in a tutored whiskey tasting to become a certified Irish Whiskey Taster!

Warehouse A1

Warehouse A1 was one of the original warehouses built in 1800`s by the Murphy family and thus, it is one of the first warehouses used to mature Cork Distillery whiskey, or later to be called Paddy`s whiskey and Midleton whiskey. Warehouse A1 has been carefully restored with its original features and characteristics. Visitors will be able to see and feel the old-style maturation process as we will be storing 1000 casks full with our traditional pot still whiskey. Additionally, Warehouse A1 will have a wood display and a cooperage display where tour guides explain how whiskey casks are built from acorn to the finished product.
