NOVI SAD - GETTING AROUND

By Walking

The city center is compact and walkable, making it easy to explore on foot. Many popular attractions, like Dunavski Park and Zmaj Jovina Street, are within walking distance of each other. The main pedestrian street, Zmaj Jovina, and the nearby Dunavska Street are great for exploring on foot, lined with cafes, shops, and historical buildings.

By Public Transportation

Novi Sad has a reliable public bus system, covering most parts of the city and surrounding areas. Tickets can be purchased from kiosks or directly from the driver. Popular bus routes connect the main train and bus stations to the city center and other neighborhoods.

By Taxi

Taxis are readily available, covering most parts of the city and surrounding areas, and relatively inexpensive. We recommend using a reputable service or a ride-hailing app such as CarGo to avoid being overcharged. CarGo operates similarly to Uber and is popular in the area, and easy to use for visitors for its convenience and fixed pricing.

By Bicycle

Bicycle rentals and/or electric scooters are available throughout the city, particularly near the Danube promenade. Novi Sad has dedicated bike paths, making cycling a safe way to get around.

By Train

The main train station, Železnicka stanica Novi Sad, connects the city to Belgrade and other parts of Serbia. For those looking to visit the nearby Fruška Gora National Park or the charming town of Sremski Karlovci, local trains provide easy access.
