HAMMAMET - HOTEL ZONES

Eastern Hammamet

The Eastern Hammamet area is a picturesque coastal neighborhood that attracts tourists seeking a blend of beautiful beaches in a relaxing Mediterranean atmosphere. The area boasts a beautiful landscape, including olive groves, citrus orchards, and charming coastal views. The ambiance is serene and ideal for relaxation. There are numerous hotels and resorts in this area offering a range of amenities such as swimming pools, spas, restaurants, and entertainment options. Many of these resorts are situated on the coastline, providing beach access.

Hammamet Sud

Hammamet Sud, or South Hammamet, is another neighborhood within the wider Hammamet region. It offers a different experience compared to the bustling tourist areas in the east or the rural interiors. This section of town is more laid-back and a bit quieter, while still having easy access to attractions in amenities within Hammamet.

The Hammemet Sud offers hotels and resorts with beach access, but they are more spread out and much less concentrated than in the Easter Hammemt area. These accommodations cater to visitors looking for a quieter stay with fewer amenities than the larger resorts. You’ll also find smaller restaurants, cafes and shops frequented more by locals than tourists. The beaches here are less crowded, providing a more serene ambiance for relaxation on the Mediterranean coast.

Interieure

Interieure is the interior area of Hammamet and offers a different experience compared to the coastal regions. While the coastal areas like Eastern Hammamet are known for their beaches and resort-style accommodations, the interior provides a glimpse into the more traditional and rural aspects of Tunisia. It is a bit less touristic, providing a more immersive and off-the-beaten-path experience. The landscape here features olive groves, farmlands, and countryside vistas. It’s away from the tourist areas, offering a more quiet experience. The restaurants in this area cater to more residents than tourists, so this is where you can have the opportunity to taste more authentic Tunisian cuisine.

Medina

Staying in the Medina of Hammamet offers a truly immersive and unique experience, allowing you to live amidst history, culture, and local traditions. The Medina is a well-preserved ancient quarter with narrow winding streets, traditional architecture, and historic buildings. Staying in this area offers an experience of the authentic Tunisian way of life as the Medina area is where locals live and work.

The hotels in the Medina retain much of their traditional charm. And just outside your hotel you’ll find traditional markets (souks), enjoy authentic cuisine in local eateries, and witness traditional crafts being made. There are also several historical sites within the walls of the Medina, such as two mosques, and museums providing insight into the area’s rich heritage.

Mrezga

Mrezga, situated between Hammamet town and Nabeul, offers a great mix of residential life with many conveniences catering to tourists. This section of town is on the coast providing beach access, but with a much quieter atmosphere. The beaches along the Mediterranean coasts are not as busy as some other beachfront areas in Hammamet. You’ll also be amongst local markets, cafes, and shops, along with plenty of restaurant options serving up both local Tunisian cuisine and international dishes. This location is also very convenient to explore attractions and historical sites within the greater Hammamet area.

Yasmine

The Yasmine Hammamet area is a purpose-built tourist area that offers a more modern and resort-centric experience compared to other parts of Hammamet. Many of the hotels in this part of town focus on high-end accommodations with leisure activities, shopping, and entertainment that is great for travelers seeking a resort-style vacation.

The Yasmine area is a relatively newer part of town where you’ll find the Yasmine Marina and Port, where visitors can discover luxury yachts, fancy restaurants, cafes, and upscale modern shopping. It’s a hub for leisure activities and boat tours, as well as home to beautiful beaches with golden sands and clear waters.

Yasmine is also home to golf courses, theme parks, and a great area for many entertainment options for all ages. This area also boasts a vibrant nightlife scene with several bars, clubs, and live music venues.
