City Center

The city center of Torshavn has many accommodation options and it is a popular base point from which to visit various islands and hikes. There are a couple of well-appointed hotels located right in the thick of the action, however, we do recommend to book early.

We recommend staying downtown, just off the harbor for exploring the best things to do in Torshavn. Torshavn is the place with the greatest variety of restaurants and nightlife.

Outskirts

If you plan to stay outside the city center you will need to take into account your transportation options. Torshavn is relatively central, however, the Faroe Islands are so well-connected by road, tunnel, and ferry that no place is truly that far.
