Positioned on a small hill, Capoliveri is famous especially for agriculture, wine and mineral extraction: on the Monte Calamita you can admire the remains of the mines and retrace the history of the iron extraction. Here are organized many events including the most famous and without any doubt the feast of the grape.

Lacona

The village of Lacona, located about 7 miles from capoliveri, boasts the longest beach on Elba Island. Offering an excellent combination of golden sand and shallow azure water, this is one of the most popular destinations on the island. In the west end there is a rocky bottom giving some great opportunities for snokeling.

The town also boasts the most charming squares. The can find accommodations on both ends of the spectrum, from a charming Marciana Marina bed and breakfast to a luxurious Marciana Marina deluxe resort right on one of the lovely squares. Besides enjoying the beautiful village and its beach, the town center offers restaurants, cafes and lovely shops. Once reached Marciana Marina, the main road climbs up within the chestnuts forests of Marciana, a village rich of history perched on a rocky ridge over the gulf.

Sant’ Andrea is known as the “Isola nell’Isola” (which means the island within the island) because it is far away from the other main tourist locations. The town offers a laid back vibe, with its bay and coasts offering the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Sant’ Andrea also offers several amenities in its village-like ambience including grocery stores, fresh produce stalls, bars, restaurants, and pizzerias.
