How do I get to Tivat?

Tivat can be reached via the Tivat International Airport located 2.5 miles away from the town center, this airport services the Montenegrin coastal towns including Tivat. The airport sees connecting flights from Belgrade, Moscow, Frankfurt, Paris, and Prague. There are rental cars and taxis available at the airport.

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

If you have not booked a private transfer through us then you have the option of renting a car at the airport through international companies such as Avis, Hertz, and Sixt. Car rental desks can be found inside the terminal.

Taxis are available and a taxi stand can be found in front of the airport building. The journey to town is only around 10 minutes and costs around €7 to the city center.

How do I get from the bus station to my hotel?

The Tivat Bus Terminal is located around 1.34 miles away from the town center. There are many accommodations located by the bus station or a taxi stand to connect to your hotel.

How do I get around the city using public transportation?

The main form of public transportation in Tivat is buses. There are bus stops along the main road and the main bus station is located around 1.34 miles from the town center. The buses link major towns and are an affordable and reliable way to travel.

Should I rent a car in Tivat?

Renting a car while staying in Tivat is a great idea if you plan to travel around to the different cities and towns and visit the coastal areas. Central Beach - Gradska Plaza Tivat is located next to the botanical gardens within walking distance to the town center with free beach access. There are changing rooms and showers, and umbrellas and sun loungers are available for rent. The beach is backed by a concrete promenade with metal stairs leading to the water. There are several cafes along the promenade.

Palma - Plaza Palma is a small beach located at the hotel of the same name close to the central city beach. The beach is usually pretty busy especially during the height of the season, and a large part of the beach is dedicated to hotel guests, and there is a cafe found at the hotel for snacks and refreshments.

Plaza Belane is a small narrow pebble beach located in the center of Tivat boasting beautiful views of the harbor and the Kalimanj yacht club. There are sun loungers, and umbrellas available to rent, and a bar on site.

Visit the island of Sveti Marko situated on the south channel of Tivat Bay. A great location to sunbathe, swim, and enjoy various water sports.

Tivat offers visitors a wide selection of restaurants and eateries to choose from many serving up delicious fresh fish, and seafood, Mediterranean, Montenegrin, and Boka cuisine. Seafood and fresh fish are found in abundance from Tivat Bay, made with sea fruits, and rice cooked in olive oil with small sea fruits. The town has many Italian eateries and pizzerias serving delicious plates of pasta, and pizzas great for lunch or dinner, and many are found along the waterfront with great views of the sea. Pastry shops, bakeries, and cafes are in abundance in Tivat selling delicious freshly baked goods and hot drinks. Porto Montenegro has a very upmarket atmosphere with great restaurants and dining options most with views overlooking the bay. Prova is set on the central promenade in Tivat, shaped like a ship and a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner serving contemporary cuisine with great views from the rooftop areas.

What is the nightlife like?

Most of the nightlife options in Tivat are found in Porto Montenegro where the best bars and clubs are located. This elite part of town offers lavish and luxurious options to spend your evenings a lot the glistening waterfront and beautiful marinas. There is a wide range of restaurants, high-quality bars, and exciting clubs to experience in the port. It is easy to experience the various nightlife options in Tivat with the compact town easily navigable on foot. Some of the most popular establishments are Madame Coco, My Club, and The Clubhouse and Platinum in Porto Montenegro. Walking around the jetties, and marina are especially enchanting at night, where some of the best yachts in the world can be seen.
