The spectacular nature of this crevice, eight kilometers in diameter and up to one and a half kilometers deep, covered with dense Canarian pine forests and crisscrossed by deep ravines, is not well appreciated in photos; you have to see it in person. The Caldera de Taburiente National Park, located in the center of the island of La Palma, is the largest tourist attraction of the so-called `Isla Bonita`, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Here, nature keeps a valuable treasure of geological and biological diversity. Here you can enjoy excursions to see the night sky, trails that run through the open bowels of the island, bathing under colorful waterfalls, and more.
