Spanish Wine Regions
Andalucia
Andalucia comprises much of southwestern and southern Spain, making it the second-largest autonomous community in the country. The Moors ruled this region for seven centuries, and their influence can be seen everywhere from its architecture to its culinary traditions.
The Sherry Triangle
Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa María form a triangle of generous land where the vine has reigned from time immemorial. The Sherry Triangle is situated in southwestern Andalucia and is best known for its sherry, of course! This region is the place to sip and buy authentic Spanish sherry.
La Rioja and Navarre
Nestled in the north of Spain, the regions of La Rioja and Navarre boast a rich history and diverse landscapes, from verdant vineyards to medieval towns. La Rioja, renowned for its world-class wine production, has Logroño as its capital, a city brimming with culinary delights, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.
Explore Spain

The vineyards of Spain cover the largest land area at a sprawling 2.4 million acres! That is 20% larger than the California Wine Estates! Wine has been cultivated in Spain since at least 1,100 BC when it was established by the Phoenicians in the Cadiz area. The country has 138 official wine designations (as of 2020) with each region being incredibly diverse along with an extremely varied climate leading to the production of everything from zesty Albarino to inky, black Monastrell, collectible treasures, delicate whites, and opulent reds.

Spanish cuisine is very flavorful, and is a quintessential Mediterranean diet, befitting the world`s largest olive oil producer and second-largest wine producer. Spain`s former colonies all over the world influenced the cuisine at home, in everything from tomato sauce to saffron. Today, the various regional staple delicacies represent history and tradition.

Iconic Spanish Road Trips
With one of the most extensive systems of roads and highways in the world, clocking in at over 10,000 miles, Spain is very easy to traverse by car. Major highways (autopistas and autovías) connect all of Spain`s 45 mainland provinces with one another, and they can be found in the Balearic and Canary Islands as well.
City and Beach Holidays in Spain
Tens of millions of people visit Spain each year, and many of them combine its picturesque and historic cities, such as the capital, Madrid, with some of the most popular and beautiful beaches in the world.
WHY RIBERA DEL GUADIANA WINE REGION?

Ribera del Guadiana is a wine-producing region located in the province of Cáceres and Badajoz in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. The region is named after the Guadiana River, which flows through it. It is the only wine-producing area in Extremadura and therefore is quite large, with 26 wineries, its vines stretch 33200 hectares. The wine region is divided into six subzones: Tierra de Barros, Cañamero, Montánchez, Ribera baja, Ribera alta and Matanegra, among which Tierra de Barros is the largest, covering 80% of the vineyards. The Ribera del Guadiana region is known for producing a variety of wines, including both red and white wines with distinctive flavors and aromas. The region’s climate, with its hot summers and mild winters, contributes to the ripening of the grapes and the development of the wines’ flavors.
