County Kerry`s mountains, lakes and coasts have been the picture-postcard image of Ireland overseas! Known as "The Kingdom", its breathtaking scenery, small villages, mountainous landscape and dramatic seacoast has attracted people to this county since Victorian times. Containing some of Ireland`s most iconic scenery: impossibly crenulated coastlines, endless green fields crisscrossed by tumbledown stone walls, and mist-shrouded mountain peaks and bogs, scenery is by no means Kerry`s only attraction.

This is a Kingdom where monks built crazy beautiful beehive huts on Skellig Michael, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It`s home to Killarney National Park, nestling between Killarney and Kenmare, which harbors the 19th-century Muckross House, Ireland`s highest mountain in Carrauntoohil and the glorious Lough Leane; to the lively tourism hub of Killarney spilling over with colorful shops, restaurants and pubs with spirited trad sessions. Killarney is the jumping-off point for Kerry`s two famed loop drives. The larger Ring of Kerry skirts the Iveragh Peninsula, fringed by islands scattered offshore. The compact Dingle Peninsula is like a condensed version of its southern neighbor, with ancient sites, sandy beaches and glimpses of a hard, unforgiving land. County Kerry is home to some of Ireland`s finest golf courses, with Ballybunion in the North, Waterville to the south and Killarney in between!
