Map of French Riviera
Major Cities

With its brilliant sunshine and relaxed living, Nice attracts famous artists and writers. In the capital of the Riviera, you can choose to explore the surrounding region or relax in its famous cafes, but the most obvious hangout spot here is the beach.

Known around the world for its international clientele, Cannes is at its most frenzied during the International Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals on the promenade de la Croisette.

One of the most luxurious places in France with mega-yachts, glamour, celebrities, white sandy beaches, exclusive clubs and beautiful art all at once.

Last stop on the Côte d`zur on the Italian border, this seaside town offers world-class gardens, fantastic museums and an endless array of charming boutiques.

Often called the 'Coney Island of the Riviera,' the city attracts young Europeans.

This lively resort town offers beautiful beaches, a small harbor sitting in the shadow of the forested hills of the Massif des Maures and a welcoming Mediterranean way of life.

Hovering between Nice and Cannes among the Provencal hills, the town has long drawn a chic crowd. It has kept much of its medieval allure, and added a world-class art gallery to the mix.
Areas of the Riviera
Riviera - East
This section of the Mediterranean coast includes famous resorts that are rich, exclusive and sophisticated, offering amazing natural beauty.
Riviera - West
The area of the Riviera boasts a picturesque coast, bountiful beaches and beautiful medieval villages.
Riviera - Hill Towns
The hilltop villages perched high above the sea combine magnificent views of the jagged Riviera coast and mountains with charm and culture.
Regions of France

With many of the most beautiful places to visit in France, Provence, a region in southeastern France, is made for explorers. From the Southern Alps and Camargue plains to rolling vineyards, olive groves, pine forests and lavender fields, the stunning variety of landscape offered here make it an irresistible destination to discover.

The Loire River in Central France is considered to be the `Gardens of France`. There are literally countless chateau (castles) scattered between a beautiful river and charming little towns.

Normandy is a region of Northern France just west of Paris that`s famous for its role in World War II as well as a number of other significant events throughout its history. However, its rugged coastline on the English Channel is also home to a number of beautiful small towns and villages perfect for an escape from the congestion of Paris.

Burgundy has it all - glorious countryside and vineyards, amazing gastronomy, a fabulous history, picturesque villages, awesome towns, the Burgundy Canal and an incredible capital city - Dijon. There are also more chateaux in this region than any other in France.

The winemaking region of Champagne is known for its sparkling white wine. This is one of the most famous and posh areas of France with many well-known Champagne companies like Moet and Chandon, that have cellars and vineyards. This region is intended to enjoy at a leisurely pace if you truly want to appreciate what it has to offer.

Alsace-Lorraine, a historic province in Eastern France, is where you will find the ancient capitals at Strasbourg and Nancy. The only thing that separates Germany from this region is the Rhine, and the area is extremely reminiscent of the German look (and sometimes feel).

Brittany is a place that is not usually on a lot of traveler’s lists. France’s northwest cul-de-sac that reaches out into the Atlantic Ocean is just too far off the beaten path for many tourists. However, this can make all the more reason to visit. With over 1,500 miles of jaw-dropping panoramic coastline, charming medieval towns and villages, and the amazing diversity on display, there are really great things to see in Brittany.
