It uses 100 percent recycled glass. Kerry glass offers glass blowing lessons, on a one to one basis, and cater for small bus tours, and families. Visitors sometimes get the chance to blow a piece of glass, that they later can collect and keep as a keepsake. There is a shop on site with toilets, and a car park that can cater for small tour buses.

After years of customer's requests to be allowed see the work in progress or to try their hand at throwing a pot, Louis Mulcahy agreed to dedicate an area at the pottery to those visitors who wish to experience the craft for themselves. In this room a professional thrower can be seen going through the daily routine of throwing pots. An experienced potter will assist the visitor in making their own 'masterpiece', they can bring their raw pot home with them for a charge of €4 or they can have their pot fired, glazed and delivered to their home (anywhere in the world) for a charge of €19.90. The professional potter is also available to answer any questions that visitors may have about the processes involved in making our pottery.
