LAKE COMO- GETTING THERE

Lake Como is on the Milan to Switzerland train line. The train stops in the town of Como, the main town on the lake.

The Ferrovia Nord Milano, a small train line that leaves Como from via Manzoni, runs only between Como and Milan.

To get to Como from the airport:
Take the Malpensa Express Train to Saronna and transfer to train LeNord to Como.

Trains from Milan to Como (the city):
Take the Ferrovia del Nord train from Milan's Cadorna station (not Milano Centrale station) to Como Nord Lago station in Como town (1 - 2 trains per hour from Milan, journey time is about 1 hour).

Trains from Milan to Varenna:
Take a train from Milan's Stazione Centrale station to Varenna (2 trains per hour from Milan, journey time is about 1 hour).

To get to Bellagio, you can take a ferry from either Varenna (10 min) or Como (40 min).

Milan's Malpensa Airport is 40 miles away.
