Everything went smoothly. Hotels were what was expected in great locations. Transfers by air and train had no problems. Will definitely use ED again!
We used European Destinations to book a 10 day trip to Barcelona and the Pyrenese mountains. I was a little hesitant at first, because I had never heard of the website. After reading all the great reviews I decided to go for it and I`m glad I did, because everything was WONDERFUL. I highly recommend using European Destinations for any European vacations, especially ones where you need to mix and match cities, airports or modes of transportation. We booked flights from DC, a rental car and all hotels through the website and everything was reserved with absolutely no problems when we arrived. The employees at ED were prompt in responding to questions and sent the appropriate paperwork and vouchers a few weeks after I booked the trip. We had an awesome time and I have already started recommending this website to my friends back in the states! Thanks!
We thoroughly enjoyed out vacation in Spain!
The Hotel Evina Rossello in Barcelona and the Hotel Opera in Madrid were both excellent. Modern and clean. Both staffs were helpful and mostly able to communicate in English. Both had fine restaurants. Both locations were excellent. Having the Renfe train transportation arranged ahead was most helpful and the ride was excellent.
Booking with you was easy and painless. All of the coupons arrived promptly.Overall, the experience couldn`t have been better. We would recommend booking travel with EuropeanDestinations to anyone.
Thanks so much.
The trip went very well, we were happy with everything. Thanks a lot!
European Destinations delivered everything as expected. We have no complaints with any of our accommodations. Planning through this site lifted the burden of piecemeal planning. I would use the site again.
The trip was perfect! No issues with flights, hotels, or anything else. This is the second trip I have booked through European Destinations...And I will certainly book again next year.
Booking transportation from the airport to the Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona was a wise decision. Our driver was there to meet us after Passport Control and assisted us with baggage and was very professional the entire time. This was all well-received by us in our jet-lagged state of mind.
Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona was in a perfect location just off the Plaza Catalunya where we could catch the metro or the double decker siteseeing buses. La Rambla, the Bari Gothic and the waterfront were all short walks away. We loved the eclectic decor of the hotel with its bold modern art and white leather furniture in the lobby/bar. Breakfast offered a large variety to satisfy all palates and service was exceptional. After our first morning the server remembered that I wanted sparkling water to start my day. After all day touring we relaxed with cocktails in the bar where service was also exceptional and friendly. We were pleased to know that we could order a light meal there also.
The guest rooms were not large but bigger than some European hotels. The decor mimics the common spaces with modern art and furniture. The bathrooms are spacious and modern and very clean. The only drawback to the rooms is the wooden floors. I loved their look and cleanliness but was also very glad that we did not have anyone above us clomping around in stilettos. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and we would definitely stay here again.
Pre-booking the AVE train from Barcelona to Madrid saved us a lot of confusion and headaches. We did not have to validate tickets. We had reserved seats and the 2 hour and 45 minute journey was pleasant.
Madrid`s Hotel Liabeny, just by the small Plaza Carmen between Puerta del Sol and the Gran Via, was an ideal and quiet location. We could walk almost anywhere. Their were many restaurants, cafes, the El Corte Ingles department store, pharmacies and other conveniences nearby. Tickets for the double decker siteseeing buses were available at a kiosk in Puerta del Sol. There was a beautiful restaurant with interior access from the hotel where a full breakfast was served. There is also a cafeteria available for purchasing light meals. The decor of the hotel is a mix of traditional and modern. The small bar is very cozy and inviting and the bartender friendly. At the Concierge desk Pedro and Victor were especially helpful with restaurant suggestions and very accommodating when we needed to confirm plane reservations and get boarding passes. The rooms were modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet. We would stay at The Liabeny again.
Dear All, everything was organized well. Thank you so much. We lived in the modern and clean hotels with a great location. Our flights and train from Barcelonna to Madrid were perfect. It is not first time we travel with your help. We had a wonderful family trip to Italy couple years ago and plan to go to Greece this summer. All the best to you. Irina
