Definitely recommend. We booked a vacation to Lisbon and Madrid to celebrate my 30th birthday (I know, lucky girl). Through this site we came across a flight that also had a 9 hour layover in Amsterdam, thus adding another city to our itinerary. Everything was beautiful and easy. There were no unforeseen charges (baggage, hotels, etc.) and all bookings were better than expected.
My recommendation is that you do thorough research on your hotel. We bypassed the recommended hotel and actually downgraded for Madrid (to Hotel Sterling). Despite its mere 2 stars, it was very clean and centrally located (which was all we really cared about). We got a room on the 2nd floor (the only floor with balconies) and it was very charming (overlooking people coming in and out of the 24-hour convenience store downstairs by the metro station). The hotel even provides, and almost forces you to accept, free iPads for use during your stay (which was very helpful for checking email and local spots).
This may not be ideal for those looking for a luxury hotel with amenities, but for those who forego laying around in favor of exploring the city. For me, it`s all about location, comfort and cleanliness. If in Madrid, Hotel Moderno seems to be in an even better location for the price. We stayed at Travel Park in Lisbon and really enjoyed it as well.
I would definitely book another trip on EuropeanDestinations. For $1200 in May/June 2012 we got an amazing trip to Lisbon, Madrid and a bit of Amsterdam. Quite a happy birthday IMHO!

Booked a 10 night trip with EuropeanDestinations to Lisbon, Portugal and Madrid, Spain. We spent five nights in each city. Trip went great! All the hotels were great. Clean, friendly and most importantly, close to both city`s Metro Lines. Both hotels also had great breakfasts to offer. The one hotel in Madrid offered the full breakfast with our booking, so no extra charge!

I would highly recommend EuropeanDestinations to any independent traveler. If you want to explore Europe and have the freedom to go to places of your choice this website is the option for you! My next trip will definately be planned using them. Couldn`t have worked out better!

I booked a trip for my husband and I to Lisbon then Madrid through ED. The trip was great. The process was simple and we couldn`t have been happier. The Real Palacio in Lisbon had an amazing staff! The hotel was very nice, but the staff made the stay. The Hotel Moderno in Madrid was average. Clean, centrally located. All flights were status quo.

Ya`ll did a great job. This was our third trip to Europe, and first time to Portugal and Spain. All arrangements were as expected. Aside from a few rude passengers and the usual tight quarters, flights were uneventful. It was our first flight on Air Portugal, and I would rate them the best airline I`ve ever flown on. Both hotels were great locations, clean and very accomodating.

We did 2 bookings for a Lisbon-Madrid vacation for my family and my parents.
