This is certainly one of the most traditional and best Hotels in Germany and there is also a music lounge in the basement which is very popular at the weekend. The large, impressive lobby features tapestries on the walls, marble pillars and an open fire in the seating area, above which there is a large tiled portrait, which again is framed in marble. The black leather furniture was especially commissioned for the hotel. The hotel is a magnificent, traditional, grand, white building with a green copper roof. The entrance is on a side street, off the busy lake road and is fronted by 2 white columns. As is true of the rest of this fabulous hotel, the restaurant is of a grandeur that defies brief description. The decor and standard of the restaurant can hardly be bettered with its fabulous traditional decor and furnishings.There is also an Euro-Asian restaurant for the more informal traveller on the ground floor. In spring and summer there is also the terrace/courtyard bar open which is very attractive to the locals and has a beautiful setting with a fountain in the middle.
