The hotels were all fine: the Historia in Istanbul was the most helpful, the Grand Pyramid the most impersonal, but then I never asked them to do anything.

The transportation in Greece was impeccable. The tour of the Acropolis cancelled due to lack of business, but I was fine on my own.

Egypt was pretty much end to end with the Egyptian Travel Club (sic?), and they were fine. The guides were very knowledgeable, and very helpful. I made the mistake of setting my alarm to an English language station that I know was an hour behind Cairo time, but the driver fetched me from breakfast and hied me to the airport in good time.

In Egypt it would have been useful to know not just that there was a visa fee in Egypt, which I knew, but that you had to pay it at the `Minst. Banque` first. At least in Istanbul I knew I had to go to the visa window first and it was clearly marked. If there is a way to add that information to your Cairo notes it would be helpful.

In Istanbul the boat cruise was fine, but I wish there had been a choice of bus tours. I might have picked the on-off tour I did, but I wish I had known of the options for three tours for the same cost instead, on another bus company. One surprise was when I got to the Istanbul airport only to learn that paying for an exit row seat (I`m over six feet: they matter to me) was not an option: it needed to be done on line for KLM, at least in Istanbul. I was able to buy an upgrade for the transatlantic legin Amsterdam, so it was fine in the end: the short flight to Amsterdam was not too cramped.

All in all, the few minor quibbles aside, the trip was a success, and I have already asked Ruby Carolino about my next trip.

1) Athens, Greece
The hotel was Athens Cypria and it was good location and good breakfast. Very clean. The location of hte hotel is excellent for shopping and getting to historical landmarks and nitelife.

2) Cairo, Eygpt
Hotel Oasis is exactly what the name means. Clean and great pool with poolside snacks.Everyone spoke English. Close to pyramids.

3) Istanbul, Turkey
Romance Hotel was GREAT Location and good breakfast.Very Clean.

Creating our vacation was easy with the website. I was impressed with the ability of the travel agent`s ability to duplicate our itnerary for 8 people (4 groups of 2). We all had the same flights and hotel stays.
