Montreux

Located on the Lake Geneva, Montreux is considered the chief resort of the Swiss Riviera. The main sight is the Ch�teau de Chillon, a castle on a small island in Lake Geneva; Byron is said to have carved his name in one of the columns in the dungeon where Bonivard was detained during a few years. The city hosts several international events, such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Film Festival. The mountains around Hauts de Montreux are threaded with forest trails, caves, grottos, and wildlife.

We were very impressed and satisfied with European Destinations` booking, billing, and voucher process. There would be no hesitation in using your service again or recommending E.D. to others. We also appreciated the email notifications and reminders prior to travel. The Hirschen Hotel in Grindelwald, Switzerland offered (we did not request) and prepared a meal to take with us because we had to leave early before the breakfast opened on the second morning in order to catch the Golden Pass train in Interlaken. The rooms in all of the hotels (Warwick in Geneva, Switzerland; Allegro in Bern, Switzerland; Colombi in Freiburg, Germany; Wilden Mann in Luzern, Switzerland; Hirschen in Grindelwald, Switzerland; Suisse Majestic in Montreux, Switzerland) were very nice, clean, and comfortable. Regarding the Geneva airport, our arrival was very smooth. Finally, we would like to emphasize that were very pleased with the service European Destinations provided for this vacation package. The website was very helpful in the original planning. Phone conversations with your staff were also very helpful in answering questions and making reservations.
