Our trip to Brussels was fantastic. The city was decorated for Christmas and was beautiful. Our hotel was great!! It was Hotel Novotel off Grand Place--- we would highly recommend. The staff was courteous. We were able to check in early ---really early by 8 am upon our arrival to Brussels. The breakfast bar is a pricey, but there was a decent selection of hot and cold foods. The location was impeccable, around the corner to Grand Place, next to Chocopolis and less than 7 minutes to mannequin piss---a Brussels must see. There was a great selection of restaurants locally, we really enjoyed the Greek restaurant Thessalonious, only 2 minutes away from the hotel. Good food for around 5-8 euros.
The city had numerous festival booths up and decorated for Christmas. We drank warm wine every night. We also rode on the diamond ferris wheel. There is a beautiful ice skating rink in the city as well.
If you are considering Brussels, go for it!
