My wife and I recently returned from a very enjoyable trip to Paris, Athens, and Istanbul. It was the fifth trip we`ve booked through EuropeanDestinations.com, and as with all of the past ones, everything was handled smoothly.

We stayed at the Opera Cadet in Paris, which we would recommend. The hotel is located on a quiet semi-pedestrian street, and there is a metro stop nearby. The room was a nice, and a decent size for a Parisian hotel room. Also, we were able to take the Roissybus from the airport to Opera, which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. It made getting into the city easy and inexpensive.

In Athens, we stayed at the Jason Inn. It was a basic hotel whose best attribute is its location. It is a five minute walk from both the Plaka and the pedestrian road that leads to the Acropolis. It also has a rooftop restaurant which is supposed to have a great view of the Acropolis.

We stayed at the Hotel Ilkay in Istanbul and we would recommend it to anyone visiting the city. It was recently renovated, and our room, 404, was very nice. It was also relatively quiet, even though it faced the street. The hotel is in the heart of Sultanahmet, which contains the majority of sites first time visitors to the city will want to see. Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, and the Blue Mosque are an easy 10-15 minute walk to your left as you exit the hotel, and the Spice Bazaar and the waterfront are ten minutes to the right. There is a small restaurant next to the hotel, as well as a number of others in the area (we recommend the Faros restaurant). We plan on visiting Istanbul again, and would definitely stay at this hotel when we do.

Thank you very much for your assistance in a ranging the trip of a lifetime. My mother and I had a wonderful time and we never would have though to travel to the countries designed in your amazing package. We came back from satisfied.

In regard to specific aspects of the tour.

France
The Eiffel Towere Ramada was in a great location. However, the staff occasionally did not understand English and did not give us a wake up call that we needed in order to make our tour ( Versailles). Unfortunately, we were unable to make that tour. We vowed to not let that happen for Mont Saint Michel and asked for a wakeup call at 530 and a taxi at 600. The wakeup call and the taxi both came at 530. It all worked out in the end but I wish the receptionist would have confirmed if he/she had been confused about what we had requested.

Greece
The hotel was very interesting but the Omonia area was a bit scary at night. I felt unsafe unless it was daylight. The hotel staff were friendly, sweet, and extremely helpful. I actually forgot two coats at the hotel and emailed asking for them to be sent to me but it looks like the email never went through. If you have an alternative way of contacting them, that would be appreciated. Turkey
The Romance Hotel was excellent. There is something about the staff the that makes you feel right at home. They went above and beyond and really made us feel like were at home in of all places Turkey. The whole day Istanbul tour was great as well. The guide was very very knowledgeable and he had a great sarcastic sense of humor. He was the best guide ever by far and my mother and I really liked him. The hamam experience was interesting but very awkward. I wish we had been pre warned that someone from the opposite sex would be scrubbing us down. I was very surprised but I could see other women being very uncomfortable. As there were other female employees working there, I think we should have been given the option to select our scrubbing gender.

All in all, the trip flowed very smoothly which is a huge credit to your agency.
